How can we make summer 2011 a brilliant success for Leeds?

Summer 2011 is on the horizon – with some serious challenges and great opportunities. There are lots of things going on in Leeds  - events, art, culture, food, retail – from the big corporate stuff, to the coolest underground events, from mainstream to the fringe and beyond….

But, with funding squeezed, marketing budgets slashed, people busier than ever, and competition tough, we have to act now. This is the time to get together and plan, mobilise and make sure we are collaborating, and co-operating.

Experience Leeds 5 is all about making the most of the summer in Leeds.

Because this is going to be the biggest, best summer ever, we are bringing together all the people we can find who are planning something special in June, July, August in Leeds, as well as everyone we can find who need to know about the coming summer season in Leeds. 

The event will take place on 21^st March, at the Queens Hotel.
 

There will be a short presentation by Independent Fullstop – the interactive independent event map for Leeds, showing you how to find amazing things to do, cool places to go - and upload your own stuff.

There will be a short presentation by Leeds Confidential about how they plan to provide a new online hub for information, opinion, news and views for the Leeds area, Simon Binns, their Managing Editor, will talk about how this will benefit the commercial as well as the non-commercial, mainstream, off-piste, independent, free and paid-for events and how it is set to reflect the amazing variety of Leeds.

We will also create the biggest summer calendar Leeds has ever seen….in front of your very eyes... so bring along your flyers, posters, dates and details and be prepared to discuss strategies, collaborate in real time and get graphic!!
